For over Sixty years, Brown’s has been fitting out grooms and their groomsmen for their big day. Being one of the longest running menswear stores in Geelong, we have developed skills that are unrivalled when buying or hiring a suit.
Our staff understand what looks great, what’s on trend and will take the time to share ideas with you. Cam, Peter and the team offer suggestions, tailor the suits to each member of the Groom’s party and then wrap the whole process up with final fittings and great service.
Because we offer more than suits, we can sort out shoes, boots, braces or belts, cufflinks and ties as well as minor, but still important bits, you know, things like socks and pocket handkerchiefs.
Dinner suits are still very popular.
That hint of satin on the lapels, silk bow ties and French cuff shirts all come together to create the ultimate classic look.
From the shoes to the collar, we create the whole look. Its also pretty good that we can add the right shoes too.
Black is not the only hue currently on trend; lots of guys are wanting a splash of colour to compliment the girl’s dresses. Blues have been exciting the lads as they head towards the big day. In warmer weather, the lighter colours and light-weight suits are perfect. Keeping it a bit casual but remaining stylish and naturally comfortable.
Lachie came in the other week to get sorted for his Dad-to-be’s wedding.
Dad had already been in to get fitted for a tuxedo and when Lachie saw what the groom’s outfit was, said:
“If its good enough for him; then its good enough for me!”
Young Lachie walked out with his head high knowing that he and dad were going to look stunning in matching tuxedos.
Proof that we can fit every lad from an 11 year old through to a 5-xtra large! Not that Dad is that big, but he is a bit bigger than Lachie.
Hiring suits has also been popular with younger guys.
Michael and Darcy were both in to dress to impress for their delayed graduation night during the month. After being shown the latest styles, Michael settled on a dark blue slim fit suit with a bright blue tie. A crisp white shirt sealed the deal and away he went looking cool and confident.
Darcy tried a few styles on and was happy with a Royal Blue ensemble. As luck would have it, we had a suit for sale in the store that nearly fitted him perfectly. Peter pinned up the trouser legs. Two days later, Darcy had a suit to last well beyond Graduation night and one tailored just for him.
Graduations. Weddings. Corporate dinners…whatever the function or occasion, Peter, Cam and the team at Brown’s can set you up to look awesome.
Be it hiring or buying, knowing that the suit will fit, the style will be yours and the feeling, great, come in and have a chat.
